Glass mosaic tile is a sheet-mounted format in which small glass pieces are bonded to a mesh or paper backing so they can be installed as a single unit. It is specified where a continuous, water-resistant and color-stable surface matters: pools, waterlines, shower walls, kitchen backsplashes and feature walls.
We supply glass mosaic on a sourcing basis from established mills in Foshan, China, and handle specification review, sampling, quality inspection and export documentation for importers, distributors and project buyers.
Why specifiers choose glass mosaic
- Water resistance. Glass does not absorb water, which is why it dominates pool waterlines and wet areas.
- Color stability. Fired color does not fade under UV the way some surface-applied finishes do, which matters for exterior and pool applications.
- Light behavior. Iridescent and cloud effects reflect light and change appearance with viewing angle — a signature design feature.

Swimming pools and waterlines

Format and installation notes
- Sheets are supplied mesh-backed or paper-faced depending on series — state your preference at quotation, as backing affects adhesive choice and installation speed.
- Use a white, latex-modified thin-set for glass; grey adhesive can show through translucent chips.
- Grout with a non-sanded grout matched to joint width; confirm joint width against the model data sheet.
- Order 8–10% overage for cuts, corners and future repair.
Quality, testing and compliance
Production is supported by third-party testing. Certificates currently on file cover SGS material testing, RoHS compliance, ISO 9001 quality management and Intertek inspection. Test reports are issued per production batch.
Material data sheets — including water absorption, dimensional tolerance, DCOF, PEI rating and frost resistance where applicable — are supplied with each quotation so specifiers can verify performance against project requirements rather than rely on generic claims.
